Prior to establishing Hartman Inventory, Mike and Cindy Hartman talked to family, friends and business associates who experienced a fire, theft or natural disaster. They learned about the difficult process of remembering items now destroyed. Listening to the many stories, they found that most had the same ending — losses not fully recovered because the disaster victim couldn’t remember or prove ownership. Each of these stories lacked one key ingredient — a personal property inventory.
Most admitted that their insurance agents suggested that they make a record of their belongings, but didn't know where or how to even start. Many said it was too time-consuming for the initial inventory, and knew they wouldn't keep it current.
The Hartmans realized that this much-needed home and business inventory service fulfills their desire to help others. Thus, they have been providing peace of mind since 2004.
Since that time, they heard of numerous other events when an inventory would have been helpful. For example, many executors are faced with the task of providing an inventory for a loved one's estate. The Hartmans help their customers through the emotional turmoil and time demands while dealing with their loss.
They are proud of the trusting relationship they build with their customers. Mike and Cindy are insured and hold a Business Services Bond, plus come with high recommendations from current customers, Insurance Agents, CPAs, Financial Planners and other professionals and business associates.
The Hartmans have been featured in the Indiana Business Journal, the Hendricks County Business Leader, the Indianapolis Star and the Hendricks County Flyer. They are Approved Speakers for Kiwanis International and also provide educational presentations for Rotary, Sertoma, Chambers of Commerce and a variety of other business, church and networking organizations.
Always seeking opportunities to provide education, the Hartmans have written and present a 1.5 CEU course for CPAs and accountants, titled "The Value and Benefits of Personal Property Inventories for Your Clients' Homes and Businesses." Additionally, "An Attorney's Guide to Estate Inventory" was co-written with Attorney Jennifer Ruby of Ruby Law which discusses the various circumstances an inventory is preferred or required. This 1.5 CLE unit webinar and publication shares a copyright with NBI, Inc.
Mike and Cindy both serve on the Advisory Board of the International Mastermind Group, led by Life and Business Coach, J. Sewell Perkins, creator of Success Coaches Institute.
